MISS MOLLIE
Principal of Motion Dance Academy
Miss Mollie began dancing at the age of three. Studying Ballet, tap, modern and Musical theatre in her early years and focusing on Ballet, modern and contemporary in later years. She holds qualifications in three different associations of dance: R.A.D., N.A.T.D., B.T.D.A., following a professional dance route with B.T.D.A. and qualifying as a teacher in N.A.T.D. “NATD offers students the ability to explore dancing in a fun and unpressured environment.” Mollie holds teachers qualifications in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Adult Fit, Early movers and Fitsteps. Mollie has performed throughout her dancing career in shows, competitions, auditions and travelled the country to demonstrate her skills on stage. She has been part of the English youth ballet, danced at the british championships, Scholarship winner for BATD and at university was part of the prestigious Loughborough 1st team in ballet and contemporary, winning competition and performing in shows alongside studying and achieving a 1st class honours degree in Mathematics. Miss Mollie has been teaching children to dance from the age of 16, along side her studies. “Teaching and choreography are my passion, being able to teach, motivate and influence dancers is an amazing opportunity. My ambition from an early age was to start this dance school and to offer a fair and open opportunity for all students to perform and find their talent in dance. We have a strict zero tolerance policy for bullying, and our focus here at motion dance academy is to promote enjoyment and dedication!”.
MISS HEATHER

Hey I’m Heather, I was born and raised in Hertfordshire where I found my passion for dance. I started ballet, tap and modern lessons from the age of 8 where I took many ISTD dance exams and performing in lots of shows. I also helped teach baby ballet classes for many years. From the age of 16 I started studying performing arts at college where I learnt many new styles of dance, here is where I found my love for commercial. Over the 2 years studying at college my confidence bloomed, it definitely shaped the person and dancer I am today. Through college I studied ballet, tap, jazz, commercial, contemporary, musical theatre, physical theatre and heels. I performed in many shows, festive and even half time at football games. I also choreographed lots pieces for each show. After leaving college I started teaching my own fitness classes and teaching different dance styles to all ages. I love seeing and helping students improve and find their confidence in dance.
MISS LIBERTY

Hi Everyone, I’m Miss Liberty. I have been dancing, since I was 3 years old, taking my RAD ballet exams up until Intermediate. At age 16, I started my vocational training at Chantry School, which is based in Grantham. I graduated from the 3 year professional course in summer 2021 with a diploma in Contemporary and Balletic Arts, as well as my level 4 diploma in teaching. Since graduating, I have worked at Alton Towers, Gullivers Land, as a part of the entertainment team, as well as teaching. Recently I have also gained my teaching certification with acrobatic arts. I am really looking forward to dancing with all of you.
MISS Emily

Hi, I'm Miss Emily. I've been dancing since I was 4 and since then have partaken in many NATD exams, dance shows and competitions. I have studied the NATD syllabus since a young age and have taken classes consisting in the styles of Ballet, Modern, Tap and Contemporary . I began my teacher training at Motion in the latter part of 2021, with the encouragement and guidance of Miss Mollie, having helped out in classes since Motion's first lessons in 2020. In 2023, I gained my Professional Associate qualification in Modern with Distinction. I love all styles of dance but I have an extra passion for Modern and Contemporary, as they allow students to bring their own creative flare into the set moves. I enjoy seeing all students love for dance come through in their classes, and seeing their improvement over time!
MISS BECKY

Hello! I’m Miss Becky. My love for dance began at the age of 3! At the age of 16 I began my professional dance career in various shows and performances in the UK and abroad. I also spent 4 years gaining my professional qualifications to become an advanced dance teacher and Associate IDTA and mutually recognised RAD teacher. Over the years I have extended my teaching practice in various areas and dance genres. Having spent a lot of my life living abroad, it enabled me to learn about different dance cultures, styles, genres and deepen my understanding of how dance is ever evolving.
I have been lucky enough to work with some incredible choreographers/performers from around the world - from famous music videos, the West End and Broadway, to professional dancers and teachers over the years. 2023 marked 20 years of teaching for me! I have attended numerous dance seminars, held many examination sessions, choreographed many shows and competition pieces, as well as providing and choreographing backing dancers for various musicians and radio roadshow performances, and have past students to date who have performed in well known global professional productions, music videos and live performances!
I have also worked alongside agencies providing dancers/ singers/ actors for globally televised performances and commercials. I teach a number of styles of dance - from beginner to advanced, and ALL ages. (Adults included! - my eldest past student being 83!) These styles include Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, Theatre Craft/Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Gymnastic Dance/Acro and various styles of Street Dance! I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching at Motion Dance! I whole heartedly support the schools ethos, and love teaching the incredibly talented and enthusiastic students, and working alongside the professional teachers that this school provides! Everyone here is incredibly supportive of one another, and there is a strong and positive vibe of equality in every lesson - which I wholeheartedly believe helps mould fantastic individuals for the future - aiding confidence, discipline, dedication and respect - regardless of the path they may choose. It is truly wonderful!
